DeltaV Control System
The DeltaV System scales the complete range of applications from an isolated Process Area to complete Plant-Wide Automation System, whether you need tens of I/O or tens of thousands of I/O. The DeltaV provides all the tools to manage your process easier than ever before.
This System allows unrestricted information flow between intelligent field devices, giving you a tremendous advantage in ease of use, a significant acceleration in the speed with which your process can be managed and as a result enables you to integrate “Smart Plants” capabilities including HART, FieldBus, High Speed Discrete Buses, and embedded Advance Control.
A DeltaV system includes, at least:
- A control network that provides communication between workstations and controllers.
- The ProfessionalPLUS workstation that provides a graphical user interface to the process and system configuration functions.
- A controller that performs control and manages communications between the I/O subsystem and the control network.
- An I/O subsystem that processes information to and from field devices.
- A system power supply for the DeltaV system.
- A bulk power supply (or 25Vdc plant power) for field devices connected to the DeltaV system.
- DIN-rail mounted carriers that provide power and communication connections for the controller and I/O subsystem.
